Kathleen Brown, DNP, joined PAM Health in 2014 as the Corporate Director of Quality and Case Management, was then promoted to Senior Vice President of Clinical Services, and now serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer. 

In this role, she oversees all aspects of the clinical services delivery including staff development, documentation, program evaluation, planning and development, performance, and process improvement for PAM Health. With a passion for nursing and providing quality care, Kathleen ensures the hospitals are improving the patient experience through improved quality and reduced cost.

Kathleen, who has over 30 years of nursing experience has held various leadership positions in resource management, quality and innovation, cardiology, oncology, surgery, labor and delivery, emergency services, outpatient clinics, and case management.  She has been intimately involved in Transforming Care at the Bedside (TCAB) and patient flow and throughput initiatives.  She has spoken nationally on TCAB and flow and internationally on case management.

Kathleen has served as an adjunct professor for the Graduate School of Carlow University School of Nursing.   She has been honored as the Director of the Quarter and Director of the Year in a previous role, received the Excellence in Teaching Award from the Graduate School of Carlow University School of Nursing, honored as a Distinguished Alumni at Butler County Community College, received the Gartner Award-Healthcare IT Summit’s Innovation- Best Case Study Presentation, Cameo of Caring Advanced Practice Nurse Nominee, and UPMC Beckwith Fellow.

Kathleen holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Chatham University, as well as a master’s degree in health services administration and a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She also holds Six Sigma Green Belt and Six Sigma Lean Belt certifications from Villanova University.
